What to Expect After Lip Fillers

Follow the recovery timeline below to understand how your lips will heal after treatment.

Day 1: Immediate Aftercare

Swelling: Lips will be tender and may appear overfilled. Avoid touching or applying pressure.

Days 1–3: Early Recovery

Swelling Decreases: Minor discomfort may persist. Swelling will be worse, and you may get some bruising and lumps. Don't worry this is normal. Avoid heat and alcohol.

Days 4–7: Mid-Recovery

Most Swelling Gone: Swelling has gone down although some minor bruising may remain. Be patient, the journey is still continuing.

Week 2+: Final Results

Fully Settled: By week 2 your lip journey is complete. Your lips will look natural and all the swelling, lumps, and bruising will be gone. This is usually when you wished a little bit of the swelling remained!
